Chapter 126 Sports & Fitness, An Oak Hill Center Receives $25,000 from the Craig H. Neilsen Foundation

The Craig H. Neilsen Foundation supports programs and scientific research that improve the quality of life for those affected by and living with spinal cord injury. The Neilsen Foundation’s vision is that individuals with spinal cord injuries, and those who care for them, live full and productive lives as active participants in their communities. Chapter 126 Sports & Fitness shares that vision and we are deeply grateful for this support, which will allow us to provide opportunities for individuals with spinal cord injuries to join one or more adaptive sports teams, receive a fitness membership, and receive specialized one-on-one training to stay fit year-round. With this $25,000 grant, we will also be able to purchase a Paramill wheelchair treadmill and provide scholarships to 50 individuals with spinal cord injuries to train and play sports at our center. We are honored to receive this grant and will work hard to put it to great use!
