Services for Intellectual Disabilities

Our programs for individuals with intellectual disabilities focus on enabling individuals to live as independently as possible. We offer specialized housing, workplace training, volunteer opportunities and assistive technology training.

 

 

Workplace and Skills Training – Learn job skills and life skills. Find employment and support individuals to procure volunteer opportunities.
Housing – Houses are custom designed to meet individual needs and preferences.
Camp – Summer camp for children and adults with intellectual disabilities.
Training for Caregivers – Find professional level courses and quick workshops specifically for caregivers and families through our NEAT Center. Find more information on NEAT Center.
Assistive Technology – We provide and specialized equipment for learning and day-to-day tasks. We also provide assistive mobility equipment and adaptive home modifications.
Relationship & Sexuality Education –  We offer courses and workbooks for both individuals and their families.

Oak Hill is a recognized private provider by the State of Connecticut’s Home and Community Based Services Comprehensive Waiver and Individual and Family Supports Waiver through the Department of Developmental Services (DDS).
